The CANTROL Steel Capping Retainer Testing is used for determining the compressive strength of hardened concrete cylinders as an alternative to sulphur hot capping. A durable steel retainer ring securely holds and confines the Neoprene Pads at each end of the concrete cylinder specimen before testing. These pads help compensate for surface irregularities and distribute the load uniformly, ensuring reliable strength results. The Neoprene Pads are reusable for a limited number of tests in accordance with ASTM C1231 and AASHTO T 22 standards.
Made in Canada, CANTROL manufactures each steel retainer with rugged alloy steel construction, corrosion-resistant plating inside and out, plane bearing surfaces, and precise machining to meet specified dimensions.
